Shri N K Mathur

Sri N K Mathur is an active Member of our Executive Committee. He joined the Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) in 1956 and superannuated in 1990. He has a dozen “firsts” to his name in the field of telecom and public transperancy – all through following his vedic motto of लोका: समस्ता: सुखिनो भवन्तु” . The “firsts” include first STD in India, the first electronic exchange, customer service centres , across-the-table registration for telephone in the scarcity period of the 60s, cadre rationalisation, fault-free services during three international events in the 80s, organising international conference on Ethics of AI, and more. He is the recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award in Telecom by this Organisation DCIF.
