Aim & Objective

Digital Communications India Forum (DCIF) earlier known as PTC India Foundation is a membership based non-profit, non-governmental organization. Formed in 1994, its office is located at New Delhi, India. Its main objective is to promote general awareness of diverse telecommunication requirements of the country. DCIF has members from all parts of the country and brings together all those who have interest of Telecom / IT / Broadcasting and Information Systems / Services in India. The multifaceted body’s members include planners, users and providers of Telecom and networks, equipment, and services. As on date the Foundation has 150 members both Corporate and Individuals. DCIF is a registered body under the SOCIETIES REGISTERATION ACT of 1860. Elections are held every two years for a Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee Members under Memorandum & Articles of Association, Rules, and Regulations of the Council.

The DCIF organizes conferences and seminars, to promote free flow of thoughts and addresses specific issues to assist in solving the present and future problem areas. It further communicates recommendations of the Forum to the national and international organizations responsible for framing Telecommunication / IT / Broadcast policies. During the past Twenty-eight (28) years, DCIF has organized conference, seminars and round table discussions/Webinars on frequent intervals on key issues in the ICT sectors and on several occasions made presentations to the Parliamentary Standing Committees.
