Worked as CEO and Director of National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI), a part of Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India. He has spent 45 years in professional life including 36 years as Indian Telecom Service Officer and served in various organisations like Department of Telecom, BSNL, MTNL, etc.

He has interest in various disciplines like Telecommunications infrastructure, marketing, business development, next generation networking, broadband etc.

He has taken over several roles at International fora’s namely ICANN, IGF related to Internet and Broadband. He held positions like Chair of UASG, ICANN, Vice Chair of IDNccPDP4 Working Group of ccNSO, ICANN, Chair of Working Group to design strategies for APTLD, Chair of Programme Committee for APTLD and also a Liaison Officer between ccNSO and GNSO of IDN Working Group.

He is presently CEO of M/s Arisvara Pvt Ltd, Business Strategy officer at M/s Amitel India Pvt Ltd.
