37 years of rich experience as a civil servant. Occupied senior positions in the Telecom Department, dealing with policy issues and their implementation, Licensing, Spectrum ,Resource mobilisation, revenue assurance, public sector undertakings, internal audit and Universal Services Obligation Fund. Had the privilege of providing valuable inputs in the liberalization process and introduction of private service providers in the Telecom Sector. Contributed to the setting up and implementation of USO Fund. My stint in the Telecom Regulatory Authority further enhanced my experience in issues of pricing, competition, merger & acquisitions in the sector, including an insight into the Broadcasting sector. The division brought out a consultation paper on TRPs and further came out with recommendations thereon. As cadre controlling Authority have dealt with HR issues and capacity building . Undertook interventions to bring about systemic improvements, standardization of processes and induction of information systems. Avid reader, interested in travel, theater and music.
